Pharmaceutical

Control Automation Solutions has a lot of experience in working in pharmaceutical automation projects. With our work on projects containing automation, IT, GAMP documentation, validation and Plant life cycle management, Control Automation Solutions is able to build any type of automation or IT solution for pharmaceutical sites globally.

Process and Unit Automation

From filler, capper, weigher and freeze dryer units to mixing processes and analysis equipment, Control Automation Solutions can automate any process or machine in a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. With our knowledge on batch automation systems, Control Automation Solutions can setup a fully automation batch production line, maintain it and provide life cycle support to keep the line from getting outside of maintainable boundaries. We have over 20 years of experience in working in the pharmaceutical market, having worked with many manufacturing companies on all types of medication, and styles of application. Control Automation Solutions has specific knowledge in applying GAMP and creating a validation capable system with documentation to conform to the standards of pharmaceutical sites. Because we know what is required to get a system certified on a pharmaceutical site, our customers will know that the result will be compliant to their operational and regulatory requirements.

Control Automation Solutions has built many automation systems based on Allen Bradly and Siemens control systems, but also other unit based PLCs or very old automation systems are in our scope expertise. With our team of engineers we are able to support any of our pharmaceutical customers to maintain a healthy life cycle of the automation systems on their site.

DCS

Control Automation Solutions knows that it is important for many pharmaceutical companies to have an automation system that can achieve close to 100% availability. To monitor and maintain many connected productions machines that have their own automation, Control Automation Solutions has successfully implemented DCS systems in pharmaceutical plants. These DCS systems are able to read and store all data from the connected production machines to centralise data collection and storage, and also centralise the alarm and control environments. When working with a DC, process operators can control the site from a central system which will send control commands to all the production machines. This way of working increases availability, operational efficiency and operational and product safety.

GAMP

We know that changing, building or removing production equipment on a pharmaceutical site requires documentation and validation. As a standard, Control Automation Solutions uses the GAMP and its V model to design, build, commission and validate any automation or electrical system we build. By doing this by default we have a lot of experience in working with this engineering workflow, and our standard documentation is aligned to reflect the requirements in the GAMP. The requirements for building automation or IT systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing sites are well known to us, so we can also assist any pharmaceutical companies by consulting them when they work with other automation companies.

IT

With IT and Cyber security becoming more important to all industrial companies, for pharmaceutical companies it means that validating the IT systems and finding the line between staying up to date to be safe and not invalidating an IT system is very difficult. Control Automation Solutions can help any pharmaceutical company creating an industrial IT system that is robust, stable and can stay safe and validated. Our managed IT systems can be the solutions you need to limit the operational IT costs for your production IT system, and still maintain a life cycle that will not lead into additional costs in future.
